Since you're always open for suggestions ... I've looked at an idea on how to do a random battle generator, but it's definately something that requires you to build since it's not simply a plugin or a quick addition.
Ok ... you'll need to turn on your imagination for this idea ...
- When BA starts, you see the menu ... LOAD CAMPAIGNS MULTIPLAYER EDITOR QUIT ...
- Add a new item ... Battle.
- When you click on BATTLE, it loads the EDITOR, but it only loads a menu driven display (like the plugin).
- The player can select everything (like a plugin), and then hits the BUILD button.
- At this point, it will automatically create a new campaign folder in the user campaigns (/Battle).
- When it's done, it exits and will automatically jump to, and select, the Battle scenario.
- Start the battle and off you go!.
Overall, I figure it takes a lot of work to create the whole thing...
- new scripts for the AI need building (you already have a plugin script for a meeting engagement).
- more VP logic.
- more Force Points (perhaps OOB style?)
- etc, etc.
I'm hoping that the little random scenarios that Amaris and myself create can help give you ideas when the time comes. More importantly, player feedback on the scenarios because already SIZE is important and I'm sure that "how many objects" are built on the map would be considered because I can throw out thousands of objects and not bog down my system whereas other platforms (cpu setups) might cause slow-downs etc.
Anyway, I'm not expecting something overnight (from Slith) because you'll have quite the project when you decide on the best approach.
