Hi all, Thanks for the response on the paired game question.
Another simple one.
I see that some challenges have FOG on and some off.
Exactly what is the effect of FOG (presumably fog of war) and how do you turn it on or off?

You can access those options when you issue a challenge on MP, the options should be on the lower left of the screen. If you accept a MP challenge, you are accepting the conditions the challenger initiated, and thus cant change anything.

effects of FOW
there is no visibility limit ie if your unit has line of sight to an enemy , you see it
elevation can block LOS
being at least two hexes deep in forrest can block LOS
all infantry and cavalry with exception of light foot will block los
when playing , the engine will darken out those hexes that you cant see into, howver there is no indication given if your own units can be spotted
