SHIFT – When using the bombard command this shows the spread area for the bombard attack
Should this work on Mac OS?

I think so. The keys all get routed through in the same way. Are you not seeing it? I think (IIRC) that it only applies to bombard attacks from units, not from offscreen bonuses.

Maybe I'm missing something but for me doesn't work.
When choosing fire on a non seeing square, the three small fires icon appears, this is a bombard, right?, then pushing SHIFT should the the area be displayed?.
Probably I did not do the correct sequence.

The "three-small-fires" icon is Suppression Fire ... A single tile effect.
To see the bombardment "footprint", you need to select an ONBOARD unit, such as a mortar.
With the mortar selected (and has shots), move your cursor over a tile and hold the SHIFT key down, you'll see the footprint in red tiles.
