ok..i feel i can comment on this game now!..i've played on 'colonel' difficulty, and got through to invading the midwest america scenario on mainly decisive victories. can i first say i absolutely love the game flow and graphics,..i can feel the smoothness over panzer general.there are so many cool features ive had LOADS of fun :D ..however..i'm currently a bit disappointed with m.p. i've played a couple of the 'historical campaigns and can feel the imbalance there,..but it warns us of that because it's historical..but..i'm playing a balanced brits vs germans atm ,..and nothing the brits has seems to dent the top german stuff .. ie; jagdpanthers , the fireflys are pretty useless and we all know the rest of the brit tanks weren't up to the firefly standard so if axis player gets 3 tigers and 3 jagdpanthers,..what's allies guy gotta do? and believe me, i'm using 17pdrs but they just don't do enough!..i've played B.A for as long as it's been out ,..and PG 1, 2 , and 3. and all balancing was mainly cool on those .. poles also seem a bit too strong on the 'balanced' m.p. second and final gripe; how come you can do total force selection in 'panzer tactics' in m.p. (nintendo ds) and yet it seems impossible for anyone to implement it in either B.A or panzer corps?? it would be the icing on the cake for both of these great games .. and please give the brit stuff a bit more grit and bite..you try it! axis buys 3x me 262 , 3x jagdpanther and a tiger or 2.,and whatever else he can then afford..try and stop that with any brit combo..it's comical! apart from gripe 1 and 2 thanks for making such awesome games

I'll be happy to try it, host up a game of Hylan Valley, set yourself as German player and send me a password, and we'll have a go at it. :)

Please list these MP games as I haven't seen any with the British.

It's up to the designer to balance the map.

I have one map with British and Americans.

Short and sweet.

hey i don't have a degree in this game and am barely computer literate, i do gaming for FUN :P but ok ..i will ,..it'll be a laugh if nothing else,.. but 1 was referring to average players like me ,,.not smarty pants 'i'll show him , i can make anything work cos i'm a scenario designer' ['i will squash you like a bug']{can u believe someone actually said that to someone else on this very forum!! they wouldn't squash me..cos i'd refuse to play someone so darn rude and conceited! it wasn't you by the way kerensky..just airing my disgust lol!} (now you've REALLY got cause to beat me!! lol! .. i can feel my fishing rod twitching  ) but would like to see if any average player has same experience..with allies being weaker( brits)...i think it is hylan valley actually! but before i lose lol! or even put up a challenge, what about the questions i posed!?? that was a politicians answer not a game designers.. and this is my strategy to get an answer! hey and no banning me from the forum.. that's cheating !

I just so happen to be about half way through a game of Hylan Valley – and I’m playing the Brits too. Even though I think the game is about even at this point – no one has any real upper hand yet – the Tigers are a bit of a thorn in my side for sure. I have been able to down a few, but it takes a lot of resources, strategy, patients, and luck.........

........ and being beat up on by Kerensky is a secret ingredient as well. Learned a lot there.

Bones, all I can say is hang in there. :) Like you, I got my butt handed to me on a platter the first few times I played any of the MP games and I ranted harder than you - 'stupid game', 'over-powered Tigers', 'weak Allies' etc etc etc. I had played a lot of PG2 and expected PzC would work the same way. It doesn't, at least in some areas of expectation. Since then I have played a lot of MP games (not nearly as many as some here) and learned, and experimented, and watched how my opponents did things. There are many options as to how to play the Allies and I think that's what Kerensky will show you. One thing to try to master is mass attack - it's not as simple as just milling around a target; the order of attack is important, especially if the target is likely to retreat - but it's very useful against powerful units.

Anyway, all this is a long-winded way of saying, don't give up. We all play PzC for fun but part of the fun, at least IMO, is learning why this or that tactic works or doesn't and building a skill set.

ok thanx guys,..so it's just that i haven't played enough m.p. in p.c. ..i can live with that! but what about force selection and choosing a map?..is that just cos it would be 'copying' panzer tactics ..or is there something far more sinister behind the plot? .. ASL had trouble with a point system too! they balanced it in SL and then made a mess ever since.' but as i've said 'panzer tactics' did it so...??? 8)

Can you explain what you mean by these, please? With force selection, do you mean a set of preselected units? Not familiar with those other games so they don't help. Cheers

Fair enough. Yes we do recognize the Allies have generally inferior equipment to the Germans at somewhat less than competitive prices. This is somewhat historical, but also done for purposes of game play. The game is Panzer Corps: Wehrmacht, after all.

That said, all balanced multiplayer maps are configured to offset small but very relevant balance realities.

Hylan Valley, for example, the Germans have a total of 29 core slots and start with 3125 prestige, but the British have a total of 30 core slots and start with 4125 prestige. One extra core slot isn't much of a game changer, but 1000 extra prestige is nothing to spit at.

ahh! thank u kerenski..that starts to make sense now! ok,.. but ajagdpanther gets on average -1 from a firefly on flat open ground , and dishes out -5 or -6!! is a 17pdr really that incapable? i know,..your gonna say you do the scenarios not the units! i'll rack em up then  you must be dying to kick my butt by now lol! :P
