Looks great, like canyons. Would look really cool with rivers running through them.

It does look nice, but as a player I would expect such things to limit vehicle movement across them, which may be hard to implement without chenging game code.

There are two tactical advantages Ridge can offer and it did in reality, in Africa for example. Those are possession of higher ground to observe and engage enemy and ability to conceal position of armoured force. Because there are no mechanics that represent higher ground or line of sight in the game they cannot be used this way. Also more continues line of step slope prevented movement from one to the other side and as Alex mentioned it requires change in game code but it fits well in the game with current mechanics. It is planed for expansion but under the name of Escarpment and it would be used on the map to direct movement.

With this tiles we can set really Differences in height - but not with this old edge graphics - a new one with a slower terrain rose.

If LOS/LOF were to be implemented these might be great contour lines for hex height. Like the old board wargames that used height to determine whether a tank could fire over a building or whatever. Not sure that's envisaged for PzC though.
