Looked at it never tried it, don't have that much cav in my collection.
Not sure how well cav would face off against infantry if they were steady, but it is intriguing.

Used them against some evil, rebellious, Roundheads last night.

Mixed fortuens as I took the unarmoured version, and encountered Easternb association armoured stuff when the flank march rolled a 12 on the first bound, eager for the fray. The 2 superior & 1 average bgs rolled on, and quickly charged home. Sadly the despite the dice doing well, I always seemed to score 3 to 4 etc in hits, and that bg broke after losing 3 bases, though not before they took the enemy general out. My other flank marching unkit were charged by the 2nd group of armoured, and were beating them down when we agreed a draw.

My other superior cavaliers had marched up in support on turn 1, nimbly avoiding the lone battery that spent a lot of the game shuffling an inch vainly trying to get me in their sights. Although when they finally did managhe to target, they made it count. One unit broke from casualties when fighting a steady pike & shot unit, and Rupert's own regiment fragging at impact, but winning the melee and managing to break-off to rally at the end of the next bound.

The dragoons valianrly skirmished on the other flank against mounted & com. shot, the foot stood in the middle happily avoiding anything that might care to cause them suffering, and protecting the camp.

A nice run ot, although I know I'm going to up the Cavaliers to armoured, just need to find the 12 pts per bg to do it.
