A.I has prestige limitations in scenario/campaign ?

My question is. I take it for granted that the A.I is abiding to the same rules as the player regarding the availability of Prestige to replenish troops with ?
and that eventually he will run out of it to reinforce his troops during each scenario in the campaign ?

For the most part yes, but on some of the higher difficulty settings the AI does receive some prestige advantages.

I have been playing with a risky trick.
Dont destroy the allied air units but let them fly to an airfield and replenish using prestige that would otherwise be used to ground units.
Makes sense?

impar, in my campaign, that trick works just as well, possibly better, with tanks.
Fully replenishing one of the heavier tanks robs the AI blind, and the prestige is no longer available to spam defensive units left and right.
Back in the day, SSI solved this by making repairs free for the AI, or so I'm told.
In PGForever, Rudankort "fixed" this. He changed the system in a way that required the AI to pay for repairs, but gave it a generous per-turn allowance in prestige to allow it to do so.
However, I'd wager a few people play PG similar to how I play it - concentrating attacks so, ideally, entire units perish in the same turn.
This means, there ARE no units the AI can spend prestige on repairing.
So what does the PGF AI do instead? It spams defense units.
PGForever was a truly impressive effort (as is PC), and I tip my hat to Rudankort for single-handedly creating it, but that single flaw caused me to actually dig out my old PG CD and play the original instead of the remake.

I don't know if it makes sense from a spending prestige point of view but it sure will allow your fighters to rack up more kills!
