Germany eastern fortress Bug ?

On Apr18th 1942 , the eastern fortress is completed . But in the next turn , the fortress disappeared . Is this a bug?

When did the fortresses appear in eastern Germany? Was there an Allied unit inside the German border? If yes then the fortresses would appear if year is 1942 or later.
If there are no Allied units inside Germany then the fortresses will spawn only in July 1943.
There is code that change the fortresses to cities if the conditions for them to be on the map is not met. This code was probably added to remove them from on-going games where they were on the map from the start of the scenario.
So the problem is probably that an Allied unit landed in Germany and then was defeated. Then the fortresses spawned by the event will disappear again.
I can remove that code so the fortresses will never disappear if first created. Shall I do that?

Do air units cause this too? Or just ground units?

is the fix for this problem going to be in the next iteration? My Russian assault on Morris awaits.

Still buggy!
In current game I have noted that german cities, when turned into forts, become 0 PP fortresses.
It mean that they can't supply troops, neither troops can be railed to surrounding hexes or deployed here. Also axis income suffer for this few PPs.
I am pretty sure that it was not intended.

I just tried a new game with GS v2.01.23 and loaded the 1943 scenario. The Allied landed in Germany and the fortresses appeared with normal production (1 for each city).
The code says that if the hex has production before being converted to fortress we set the max production to the same as before.
So if you don't get production for the Eastern German fortresses then something is wrong. Can you send me the save game just prior to this conversion so I can try with my version.
Which version are you using? You should use GS v2.01.22. GS v2.01.23 will be released this weekend and main change is just chrome (convoys are now named according to their start point and destination). So it's in theory possible to get Convoy PQ 17.

Turn when fortresses appeared lost somewhere long ago, as its late 1944 now.
But I see in Morris's screenshot attached to very first post - same issue.
Probably it occured because game was constantly updated during our game with Victor was in progress.
I remember that I got message about spawn of german fortresses in eastern germany for 5 turns in a line.
