Determining if Unit can be Purchased

What parameter determines if a unit can be purchased or not while in the middle of playing a scenario?
Obviously the from and to dates but what else?
In other words what parameter makes an infantry able to be purchased but not a strongpoint?

in the equippment-file is a field / trait for "purchasable"

There is?
In the equipment-file now and scanned it for that; did not find it anywhere.
Doesn’t mean it’s not there…. Just means I can’t find it yet.

Sorry, I used the "Equipment" editor, in which it is a "field".
In the normal equipment file is not a field itselfe, but I think it is somewhat coded into the number of unit traits.

Ok, using equipment editor now.
I see that under “add traits” and “remove traits” there is “nopurchase” as an option. But for Strongpoint or for Infantry there is no difference for those. It doesn’t look like it is selected for Strongpoint like I would expect it to be.
What am I missing?

Strong points are never purchasable in the game. It is hard coded.

The shame of it – breaking programming rule # 12.5 “there shall be no Hard Coding in any programs for any reason”
Thanks Razz1. That was what I was sort of implying and wondering though.
But then can you use the “nopurchase” (as I stated above) to make other units as not to be purchased? By the time someone answers that, I will most likely have tested it myself – but please feel free to confirm it for me.

Yes, you are correct... Soon we will have a patch that the Dev's promised upgrades in the editor.
So, it will be nice to see what is in it.

Strongpoints are classed 'Structure' - I don't think that class is purchaseable any time. Makes sense in a game (no time to build one) but designers can place them, of course.

yeah that does make sense about structures. At least ones that are in the game as of now.
Also tested selecting the "nopurchase" using the equipment editor - and that made the unit not able to be purchesed as well................. go figure.
And Razz1, there just isn't pleasing any of us is there. We finally get tht egame we have been waiting for since PG and now we all want more with upgrades ...... I know I sure do.
