Problem with Prestige Action Based On Unit Elimination

I hadn't see a report of this problem in previous posts but there are a lot of posts and I may have missed it. If I have missed it I apologize. Please refer me to the appropriate topic.

I was attempting to set up an prestige action triggered on the elimination of a specific unit. I used the same nomenclature as the "Bismarck" example in the editor manual which is a victory condition but it appears that the prestige actions should work on the same basis. I indicated a map condition for the prestige action as "Number of Allied Units in All Map are Equal to Zero" and then drilling within that to the Unit Filter with a statement that is identical to the "Bismarck" filter example except the unit name was different of course to match the unit name I had assigned (Major Howard).

In play testing the scenario (Pegasus Bridge) I noticed in hotseating both sides that no prestige was given to the Axis when Major Howard's unit was eliminated. I had a similar prestige action for Captain Priday and it also failed when his unit was also eliminated. I have not tested other filter qualifiers in the prestige action section.

Am I misunderstanding how to use this function or is there a problem? Thanks for your help.

Also, it appears that the program automatically gives 100 prestige points for the capture or re-capture of a city or primary objective and this is not alterable from the editor program. I would recommend including the option to modify this in the editor in future releases.

Your Branch class and county needs to be correct.

Plus in needs to be under Actions tab not Victory conditions.

Re-check those settings.

I think Razz is right. There is also a guide (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16283408/Panzer ... meters.doc) I wrote but you seem to be doing everything right, except probably the unit class and check whether the conditions are looking for Core or Aux correctly.
