Help Again.

Yet again, all of my Multiplayer games have disappeared into the ether. I thought perhaps some have got bored, but surely not all of them; I'm usually an easy beat.

They are:

River of Blood - Sniperjack - 21 April 21.58
Killing Fields - Gudkarma - 21 April 22.01
River Line - Ubudeco - 4 June 23.38
River of Blood - Treetom - 12 July 21.30
Villers Bretonneaux - Falco - 12 July 21.39
Street Fighting - Infidel - 09 Aug 23.36
A Winter Encounter - Mowby - 09 Aug 23.42
A Christmas Surprise - Richie61 - 09 Aug 23.38
Buying Time - Kman - 09 Aug 23.57

Apart from the time last modified, there seems nothing in common. I do not know whether this is local time or the time wherever the server is located.

I have changed nothing in my computer except the usual updates from Microsoft which everyone else is getting.

Can these games be turned back one turn?

Any ideas on what is causing it?

I have had some games come to a successful - or unsuccessful- conclusion, depending on your side, during this time.

Thanks.

Can you be more specific about what the issue is. Have the games disappeared, or just not been played?

Cheers

Thanks for your time Pip,

They are all listed as Enemy turn. So whether they have arrived corrupted at the other end I do not know.

I cannot fathom that so many players would just stop playing, some of them were in a very handy position. For instance, I was awaiting the last turn of the game from Falco, so as to start another, which we arranged.

Lynz,

I posted over at Matrix Games Forum for Battlefield Academy last week.

I received your latest turn and when I tried to open your file I got message "Failed to decompress - possible corrupted data".

Is this the issue you are having?

PS: You were WINNING our battle :D

I will try and grab the games tomorrow and check them out - I would imagine that we would have gotten support feedback if they were all broken in some way. It might just be the PzC effect is making people a little slower on their BA turns?

Cheers

I have not received your turn back Richie , but this is the fault that was happening some time ago. I have no idea what is going on, but Pip, or other support solved it by turning each turn back.

I would like to think it is just me, then I could reformat, but there seems no logical reason for that to be the case.

But then again, if it is more widespread, not everyone is using the forum; so they may just be going away. And that is no good for the community or game.

I have sent a pm to Falco asking him if he is having issues.

Thanks all.

Well, I am pretty flumoxed. Every game was corrupt in some way. I have rolled them all back, so you can try again. But I can't think why you specifically would have this problem - there are enough games going on that if it was widespread it would be getting more rage here on the forums.

Once 1.6 is out (which can't be soon enough for me so I can get back up to speed with the updates...) I will add in some belt and braces error checking. When we upload a turn, I will not say it's successful until I download it again and verify everything, and also add in some CRC checking which was added recently.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully you will be good from here on.

Cheers

Pip
