Can't start games with new release

I loaded the latest release 1.6.0 (only because I had to but suspecting there would be bugs)
After accepting a challenge then selecting the map after winning the initiative i get the following error message.

What is you Windows username? is it really 'user', or is that wrong?

'user' is correct. I'm an FOG 'user'

Does this error happen every time?
If so, please manually go to this folder (you can copy and paste):
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Slitherine\FieldOfGlory\
Then, manually delete the file start.fogsg.
The error message that you're getting indicates the game cannot write to that file. I can only guess that perhaps it was in use by another process, or there was some other permissions problem.
Let us know if that fixes it.
