how many installs with online purchase?

Hey guys, been viewing the forums for quite a while now ever since stumbling upon the review of the game at gamespot. I'm a 41 year old pc gamer who played the original PG and PG2. Lost both discs quite some time ago and several months back bought the digital copy of PG2 through GOG. I love the turn based genre at the PC level and my question is this: I have two hard drives on my primary PC (vista on a 250gb hdd and xp on a 500gb hdd) and was wondering if I purchase the online copy only and install it on one hard drive can I then install the game on my second hard drive??
Thanks for your help.

There shouldn't be any limit. You are the owner of the cd key, so no bullsh*t like in the case of the industry's giants.
Also, since both XP and Vista support NTFS for HDD partitions (meaning that you can "view" the partitions from both O/S), you can install the game once on any operating system and import the registry entries for PC to the other O/S.
L.E: To be more specific: Export the Slitherine entry from HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software. This should create a .reg file. Switch to the other O/S and simply execute the previously created .reg file.

Thanks alot! I'm thinking just installing manually both times. Not too proficient with messing around with the registry (except my daughters laptop which could not locate her user profile).

No, you don't have any restriction in the number of installations.
You can install it as many times you want.

Some more questions from a newbie who already playes pg and pg2
I have two Computers in two different towns, each with a pc installation on it. I started a Campaign on the first Computer.
Where can I find the file/folder the save games are saved???
I would like to continue my game on the second Computer which I started on the first Computer.
First I wanted to save all save-games on a USB-Stick and transfer them to the other Computer. This does not work as I cant find the location of the save games.
Thanks for any help!!!

My Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\save
The location can vary but this is generally where you'll find them

One more question. When the Mac version is out, will I be able to use the same CD Key for Windows and Mac versions? I own a Windows based desktop PC and a MacOS based laptop and I would like to play in both.

Hi.
There are no details how things will work with the hypothetically MAC version.

If the serial nr for Pz Corps Win version does not work on your Mac when using the Mac version (but this mean you have purchased the Mac version --> you pay Pz Corps twice ??? How can you download the game Mac version without paying it ?, you will have another serial nr by default so your question will not be a practical scenario I think):
anyway, use bootcamp under Mac allowing you to install either XP or Win 7 on it then use the Win version of Pz Corps you have today --> no need to purchase the Mac version, your problem is solved and you spare money...

Except that a Windows OS isn't free. Far from it … it costs significantly more than buying two copies of PzC. Unless one happens to already have a non-OEM Windows disk lying around, getting a real Mac version will be cheaper. That's the case for me … I don't have any non-OEM versions of Windows and have zero interest in buying one. So either I'll eventually be able to play a Mac or iOS version of PzC, or if they don't eventually materialize I'll just have to go without.

I supposed you had one. Now I understand.
I am off topic now but I just wanted to say I am playing with Pz Corps on PC with a MAC Cinema Led Display 27 inches (I mainly use it for photography works), it is awesome.
I thought the 12 ms response time of the screen could be a problem, but is is not the case. With such a screen you have a global view of the battlefield and you take more adequate decisions when you have to move units.
Colors are awesome and you can really see that Slitherine team did a great job when designing units, they have well enough details.
Pz Corps is gorgeous on a big screen. Previously I used 2 19 DELL inches screen, each of them having a 5 ms response time (Pz Corps is a rare game offering the possibility to play on multiple screens).
So if you play with a MAC I hope you will use a big MAC screen, Pz Corps is made for it.

Yep, I have a 27" iMac quad-core i7. So I think I'm ready for PzC when the Mac version arrives, and can't wait to see how it will look.

By the way, thanks to VPaulus for confirming that this version is still on the way. I've just been burned by companies not keeping their promises lately (see M-Audio's website for the most recent example that's going to cost me many hundreds of dollars) and have gotten paranoid.

Hello. I purchase my PzC version back in 2011. Now I got new PC and tried to install it from my archive, but the file got corrupted somehow and refuse to install at all. My question is Shall I buy a new copy or there is a way to get it free? Thank you in advance. Andy

Write your order details (serial no., etc..) to
info@slitherine.co.uk and they will most probably provide a new download link.

Thanks huertgenwald. Now it's
support@slitherine.co.uk instead of
info@slitherine.co.uk.
@repinandy
It's like huertgenwald said. Write a mail with your order details to
support@slitheirne.co.uk
