My General 08/15 campaign

Hi Folks,
I'd like to present here the campaign I aktually work on. It is the first time for me to do something like this, so please don't be too harsh.
The campaign has a little bit different approach as you are just a normal Wehrmacht General that fights the not-so-prominent battles - at least in the beginning. As another consequence prestige is rather low.
Currently I have more or less finished 7 scenarios. Did another one in spain but actually there are no units for it.
The battles so far are:
- Gdansk
- Denmark (fighting Norwegians as there are no Danish flags or units and I have no idea of modding)
- Antwerpen
- Zagreb
- Riga
- Tallinn
- Leningrad counterattack
As I had not much time for balancing and searching bugs any help would be appreciated. Please give feedback and make improvement suggestions. Please do not tell me what historical mistakes I made regarding unit composition and so on. I had some looks on the historical battle plans and maps but never intended to make it all 100% accurate.
Copy the file in the Panzer Corps folder overwriting all files - dont' forget to backup the data folder first.

For my Italian campaign i made a scenario in Spain. For the lack of Nationalist and Republican units, i snatched them from other minor axis and allied countries

.
I would be delighted to play your campaign and share my findings with you.

Maybe I will try that too but I guess these units will be made soon by someone in the editor. I'm looking forward to hear if you liked it.

Here a few impressions and suggestions.
I really had a hard time to finish the first mission. No seriously, i was actually begging for more prestige and those allied units kept spawning out of thin air. I just finished after the 6th attempt on turn 20 (of 20). To my big surprise i won a decisive victory. What was left of my units i needed almost all prestige i got rewarded, on replacements. I could buy one new unit.
The second mission is in my opinion just not possible in 11 turns max. I was actually wondering what the purpose is of that navy...it would be more interesting if it could circumnavigate and attack ports.
If i may suggest to raise the prestige of the axis player and decrease the start prestige and/or prestige per turn for the allied side. Also to increase the number of turns somewhat.
On the second map (Denmark) there is a victory hex without any flag. And i also noticed that the port (2,2) is spawning units on the sea (not in a sea transport).
In my opinion your ideas are definately pointing in the right direction and your scenario's show potential if somewhat adjusted, and especially map 1 very well made and the units i encountered underway gave my advancing troops headache to neutralize them. Thanks for posting your campaign

Aaan...
Your company is Manstain-Rommel-Guderial difficult level?
I hardly finished Gdansk on turn 20, but I can`t finished Denmark per 11 turn with major victory. May be it can be finished on "very easy" difficult, but on normal... I think - not.
Bugreports:
Another bug: no city names. Where target city?
From start position to large city about 30 hexes. With speed 5, without combats, it`s take 6 turns. Then we must break off 2 art + bunker + 7 inf + AA for remains 5 turns? Realy?
And... What is the meaning of a squadron of destroyers?
PS: and why I can't to surround Amsterdam from south? Why I must sturm it from 1 hex (river hex!) only?

Thanks both of you for your feedback, as I said I lack a bit experience in such things. I will go into it at once and load up a new version asap
Damn, Denmark was the map I forgot to name the cities...
Ok, I think I fixed it up and I would be glad if you give it another try.
@nikivdd: I might add here that I really like your Italian campaign - can't wait for more scenarios

rivvendarke, I think you should first to pass himself your company at the maximum level of difficulty (based on your knowledge of where enemy forces are located) and achieved major victories in each scenario (and, with some lead time of 1-2 turn).
And after that to offer pass your company new players.

Anyone can make a map. The designer needs to test it before release.
Things like this would never occur if it was tested.

Ok, I removed the downloadlink. My mistake to try making a campaign fot the first time without being the perfect mod designer - won't happen again.
But for anyone who is able to read should have been clear that this is my first try and that I would like some help from people who are WILLING to help. All others can wail till I post a later version instead of complaining that it's not perfect. I think the intention of such a forum should be to encourage as many people as possible to give it a try and not to beat them down - especially when you are a site mod.
Best example ist the "PG classsic revival mod" from yesterday. Yes, there are some issues but for me its fun tpo help the designer to make the game better because I'm grateful that someone has spent dozends of hours to recreate around 30 maps. Nevertheless in his thread also the first start complaining - not understandable for me.

Yes, everything is fine, personally I liked the idea of "you do not Rommel or Guderian, you're just a general who fights where he is ordered." But to test his own company really needed before upload "release", IMHO.

My friend, you don't need to make it perfect, nothing is perfect, even the original game is not perfect at all. That's why we making mods for the game.
All you need to do is just testing the map a few times before the post. That will ensure there's no major errors. Then the other player can give more ideas about the improvement.
Please don't make me wrong, I believe you're good modder with passion. I wish to see the next version of your map. Thanks!
