How Often Are Action Triggers Ran?

How are the Action Triggers supposed to work? Once and done or are they continuous?
I hope I can explain my question.
:?

Example: Action trigger “Number of Axis units in zone 1 is more than 5 add 10 prestige to Axis”.
--- Would the prestige points be awarded the first time this trigger is true and only that time (total of 10 points no matter what else happens)
--- Or, each turn this trigger stays true (turn 11 true, turn 12 false, turn 13 and 14 true for a total of 30 points)
--- Or, each turn that it becomes true (turn 11 true, turn 12 false, turn 13 and 14 true again for total of 20 points)

It's trial and error. The best way to learn.
Keep to the top section to start.
Each section is separate command.
Pick Axis in first section.
Pick flags in next section.
The next pick equals or less than.
Last section pick a number that corresponds to what you want to do on the map. For example, you want a 5.
When the Axis has 5 flags they get what ever you have given them, like prestige or bad weather.

Hi Razz1,

Thank you for the quick answer !

Prestige, weather and which is still possible - can you give me a full list. Can I programm reinforcment unit on the edge of the map ? Do you mean normal flags or victory hexes with this 5 flags ?

Why don't you down load Operation Zitadell and play me in a game?

But, first open it up and look at what I have done, then ask questions.
We can not program units yet. But you can add prestige on a specific turn or dependent upon conditions.

Allot of this is done in Bastogne which is not released yet.

All you can do is hope the player buys what you want. You can control this somewhat by prestige. For example giving them just a little more than a Sherman tank. There is a high % due to dire conditions on the map that they will buy the tank. Then you can repeat for each turn.

So basically right now you can not make historical reinforcements show up.

It would be nice if we limit this to type of class otherwise a player would buy an airplane in place of a tank etc..

Reinforcements can always be placed anywhere on the map where you own a city. But once again you can control this by making a player control a city for X number of turns. Right now you need to own it for two. So you must count the number of hexes you have on the map, know when a player will capture what city and the calculate how long they have to wait before they can place.

Unfortunately this trigger is per game and not per scenario so it is best to make the maps uniform in size or how they capture cities.

Thank you again - sounds like not to much Possibilities - I hope an addon bring us some more features.

Thank you for your offer, your scenario looks good, very good to learn some news with trigger action, but I don't like fantasy scenarios and minimaps. Sorry, but that's not Operation Zidadelle. Wait for my own Kursk scenario, I show you the real military history on a real map - than we can play a nice game. I will stand by for you !

That’s good and that’s not good – depending on what you are trying to do at the time.

Perhaps this could be something else for the wish list of changes? A check box put on the triggers to determine if it runs only once or each time it is fulfilled.

If you want the action to trigger more than once, just add it again using a different condition.

Hhhmmmm...... a 20 turn scenario with a trigger to test a situation each turn means 20 triggers just to handle one repeating situation.... no thanks.
One trigger with a simple check box to make it fire each turn it is true..... way better.
:D
