Custom scenario 'Crete 1941' crashes

Hi

I have created a 1km/hex, battalion level scenario with a 303,111 size map.
When saving I get a message that there may be errors.
The 'Validate Scenario' give the usual custom string warnings, but nothing else.
The scenario crashes when playing against the AI both sides, but seems OK playing hot-seat.

Any tips on what may be wrong?

Thanks
Erik

I dont known ! You use the same scale like my Crete scenario !

But the south of Grecce (Peloponnes) in the map - you need an outside airfield - than the planes fly and attack - I had the same problem with Overlord and now it runs perfectly with the included sothern british coast (from sealion)

Let me known - if you need the historical military map 1:100000 from Southern grecce.

This is also my own map, created from my Crete scenario which is part of the TOAW-package

I am expanded the Crete map in many more details and to southern Peloponnes. I dont work with he map / parameters of The Operational Art of War - its to unhistorical - but you use the same scale - I hope you can work exactly - than we have 2 new nice Crete scenarios in the future.

My map contains the whole island of Crete and is based on various actual maps. My original scenario is company-based, I may change this from battalion to coy since there are relatively few units on a very large map.

Quite some list...
I have a few other scenarios I may convert, Torch (one scenario for each of the the three separate landings), Race For Tunis, a couple of Russian operations and maybe an experimental take on the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905.

Russo-Japanese 04/05. That sounds nice.

The whole war, even at weekly turns, may be a bit too much.
But the opening Japanese surprise naval attack (very Pearl Harbor-like) and of course Tsushima should interesting sea battles.

Actually I was thinking more on the on-land battles than the naval ones. :)

Check the map. I think you are missing a tile.

I started working on the map yesterday, the full campaign....
The editor is so quick that you can whip up a map in no time providingyou got a suitable pad.
Very nice.

Thanks, I found the offending hex after unchecking all overlays.

The validation process should find this and point to the problem hex, I think.
All the messages about custom strings is really not that important and kind of obscures the important stuff.

Anyway, the error is gone, thanks again.
