Heroes. What are they good for?

When i get a hero, i also get some bonus stat, but that doesnt seem to add to the unit. What is it?

Level bombers. Useless? Or what are they good for? Other than Ju88 destroying ships of course.
In the old PG i used lots of lots of level bombers, i had more of them than i had TAC's. But here they just seem useless.

Also. How do other players deal with 2 AA units sitting next to eachother? TAC's get smashed, level bombers seem pretty useless. Attacking with infantry sucks as there often is artillery nearby defending. How to deal with them?

Elite reinforcements vs reinforcements.
Is there something different from old PG here. Because the more experience my unit get the more expensive elite reinforcements seem to be. Beyond Barbarossa i run out of prestige really fast.

Prestige in general.
How do i obtain prestige other than to capture cities and airfields?
I see that i get a certain amount each round. How is it decided how much i get?
And how come destroying enemy forces doesnt give me any like it used to in PG?

1) Hero stats currently don't show up in the unit stats but should be addressed in a future patch (probably with a different color number). In the meantime, I rename my units (Alt + N) with the hero attributes. For instance, my first tank to get a hero (say, +2 Attack) gets renamed "1st Pz +2 Att".

2)Level bombers are very good for suppressing an enemy which then makes them easier to defeat with your other units.

3)Use artillery on AA first to suppress them, then follow up with your other units. I generally like to have 2 artillery units for every attack group (2 infantry, 2 tanks, 2 artillery).

4) The best time to use elite reinforcements is during deployment. If you use them during a scenario, they cost twice as much. Try to get them through the round and reinforce during deployment.

2) LBs can also (sometimes) 'neutralise' a flag. This means it is no longer owned by the enemy and cannot be used to build or transport units to or from.
