The new figures are ready now. Officially released at Britcon, I will be taking a few army packs for sale.
The website has only the battle group pack uploaded right now. But there will be single bases and army packs up there within the next few days
If there is anything specific you require, please let me know and I can bring it along.
I will also be bringing a selection of terrain and Sassanids all available from the website.
Many thanks
Simon

These are not something I wish to have.
These are something I SHALL have!
When do you anticipate the whole list being available on your website?
Also, I have not seen depictions of the horse armor on Germanic cavalry. What are the sources for this, and is it due more directly to Sarmatian or to Sarmatian influenced Roman influence?

I don't think so... there are lots of nice Romans out there already.

Primarly for later period serving as Vandal Justiniani within the Byzantine army (patiently waiting in the wings for the paint brush)
The armoured lancers are available on the unarmoured horse in you prefer (VBBG03 rather that VGBG02 as I recall)
thanks

Gotcha. I appreciate the versatility very much, as I prefer my barbarians feral.

As with the Persians all the cavalry is breakwaist. There was a deliberate decision to make the riders and horses all interchangeble with minimum of effort.
There are 8 rider of various types and 7 horses if you count the chieftans horse. They all fit each other pretty much.

As a further note these are spears 'cast on', rather than a drill hand and replace with wire spear of the Sassanids. There were a few reasons for this. Primarily the metal is hard and the detail very fine. The caster we use specialises in quality casting and based on a bit of trial and error these guys spears seem pretty good to me.
I'm please with the results I hope you will be too.
thanks

Agree. I
SHALL have these too.
Are these size-wise compatible with Legio Heroica (i.e, late romans)?

Oh no. A unit with much greater seniority.

Not a Roman lapdog here. It's just that I usually play solo and I prefer to have at least one historical opponent for each army. I've bee interested in an Italian Ostrogothic army ever since Phil advised that they were f***ing marvellous as an army.
And the order is in.

That's just cos Phil doesn't tell about the complete massacres he receives.

True, but.....f***ing marvellous? Oh wait, he talks that way all the time, doesn't he? Never mind. The order is in.

Well that is good. For a minute there I thought you were one of them there pro-Foederates, whereas I am very con-Foederate and all.
These models really are lush. I have run Sarmatians and Central Asian City States built along similar lines to the Italian Ostrogoths, and I did enjoy them very much. Did not do well against knights or pikes, but otherwise was a very fun and aggressive mix. The actual Italian Ostrogoths would be even better.

Well , hard to say .. they are 'regular size' neither large or small. LH are pretty 'chunky' as I recall , Lurkio might be a bit slighter in build in comparison. We tried to get the horse to rider scale more appropriate means that the 'humans' are somewhat slighter.
Your order will go out today... so please let me know how you find them.
If you haven't already bought your Romans perhaps you like to consider the Lurkio Byzantines. Got all the stock now, just waiting to sort the figures and get the web site done ... real life getting in the way again!
