I often read that you should backup gamefiles when installing new Graphics/Icons and so on. Since I am also addicted to U-Boat sims, especially Silent Hunter 3 with a lot of Modifications, for installing these I usually use the generic mod-enabler to install mods and to remove them if necessary.
