Another English defeat that I was never told about at school (in the 1960s)! The Scottish army have raided deep into Yorkshire and are confronted by a ramshackle force, led by the Archbishop of York. Also known as "The White Battle" or "The Chapter of Myton" because so many English clergy took part in the fighting.
