Question about Tercio

Blathergut and I are turning back the hands of time and stepping out of the ECW and into the early 30YW with German Catholics VS the wrongfully religious zealots of Protestant Germans.
This will be our first shot at the Tercio, I am using both early and later and was wondering about their target priority.
Do the front horns have to both shoot at a target directly out front if there is a target off to the side at equal or closer range?
Can you split the dice 1 front horn base shoots forward, the second front base and the rear horn base shoot to the side?
Mostly just curious, I am anxious to see the human forts in action for the first time. :)

I have my own thoughts on them so perhaps you should walk down musket lane, where I can shoot you but you have to stop and turn to shoot me back

IIRC it is actually clear in rules. But I "think" you can shoose which way you are firing. But I think The horn has to fire in the same direction. i.e. the fornt or side. Don't have rules but I think it is actually in the section about later tercios firing.

p. 108:

-ET can shoot from front, flank, or rear
-LT from front or flank

p. 107:

-a base which can shoot from more than one edge must shoot at whichever possible target has highest priority

So, if the 2nd base in the musket file had target priority to it's flank, it could shoot that way while the front base shot to the front if it had target priority that way. Right?

interesting, between that and no flanks should make a tough target for Blathergut to crack.
