Hi all,
just checked the manual but there's not much information so what advantage does it provide to send a unit to sleep (for a turn or for the whole)? Does it recover when in sleep and not be attacked?

If you send a unit to sleep mode it will not be selected by clicking on the next unit button.
So if you dont want to move a unit put it to sleep mode and by clicking on next unit button you will only get units that you maybe would like to move.

Ah, OK. Sometimes valuable then because I use the N key to check all units and sometimes it would be a bad idea to move a unit.

I didn't know the value of this feature....and I guess I'm glad. I often think I know what I want to do or not do with a unit, and this is just another option that I'd learn to loathe. Too many times I've found that "last" piece that can take a victory point for the decisive victory still available. My luck would be to let him sleep and then realize I needed him for a capture. Probably good for others, but I'd end up confusing myself!

Then just use the "Z" key - sleep for one turn.
You can use <shift> Z to sleep forever.
I have done exactly what you are saying though .... hate that.

Nothing Prince Charming can't cure though. Or a mouse click will do, if the former is unavailable.

OK, I guess "forever" was a bad choice in words
… How about “until purposefully requesting its assistance” – i.e. “click on the thing”

Thanks for the <shift Z> tip, that's exactly what I believed the regular <Z> sleep key did.
(Having both kinds of sleep is obviously awesome
