3rd Game at 25/28mm

Had our 3rd game last night, Catalan Company vs Carthaginian. There were no rules queries, but we did consult Hammy a few times (because we were too lazy to read the rules).
Still very happy with general play, and the flow of the game.
The main comment is that at 800 pts and 25mm the table is VERY full. We chatted with some of the 15mm guys at the end, and the concensus was that either we needed an 8' table (which isn't going to happen at tournaments) or fewer points. Probably 650, which we will try next time.
I get the impression that this will be crucial to the cavalry/infantry balance of the game. It was very hard last night to turn a flank.
On base sizes, cavalry need to be 50mm deep and flexibilty is required on the number of figures/base. I do not think it possible to get 4 Catapracts on a 60mm frontage. 3 is a struggle with the modern, larger figures. The same goes for heavy foot. 3 to a base is fine.
I don't think that any of these basing issues will affect gameplay in any meaningful way; depth is not crucial (other than at deployment) and it's easy to distinguish 25mm from 4' away.
Will re-run through the rulebook over the next few days and note any comments then.
