Can't start the game at all.

I cannot start the game, I get no error or crash message, it just does not open. The error.log says only "KERNEL MEMORY CHECKING IS **OFF**"

The game did work before with no problems, no even uninstalling and reinstalling did not help. I'm using Asus A52F Windows 764bit. Recently I updated Intel video drivers, cannot say if it correlates with this problem, but no other app behaves this way.

EDIT> I managed to run the game after all by renaming the intro video file. Without it, it runs ok. But - it plays with no problems in Windows Media player, and really, some sort of error message would be nice :)

The log that you want is the one in My Games\Panzer Corps\log
You can post it here, but I'm already betting it's related with codecs and the fact you updated your graphic drivers.

This one just says "Version 1.00 (Jul 4 2011)
WINDOWS VERSION: 6.1.7601. Platform ID: 2. CSDVersion: Service Pack 1"

So nothing here. You're right this may be the reason, but Windows itself play the video just fine, and the biggest issue is the lack of feedback, I managed to circumveil this by pure chance.

Don't worry we would tell you to do that. Few, very few people complained with similar issue. So we already know how you could circumveil it.
But you troubleshooted well.
Thanks. :D

You could try renaming the video folder in the install fodler to skip the video and see if this solves the problem.

Hi Ian, yes I tried that, and it does help, without the video the game starts :)

There do seem to be some issues with some bad codecs but we've not been able to fix it in game and it requires the user to reinstall the codes to fix them. I don't know why it is showing up in PzC and not other games though.

Different APIs used.
