As I am not one to complain (no snickering please) in the scenerio for the Western United States. As a Arizonian (or what ever we call ourselfs) I was interested in seeing Bullhead City on your map considering that it was not much of anything at that time only a construction town for the Davis Dam and may not have even been called that at the time. Even as late as 1970 the city proper has only 1,000 people with another 3,000 next door. Now it is mostly known as the city across the Colorado River from the casinos of Laughlin Nevada.

Now for the complaint. You have no air fields in the Phoenix area. The general Area had Five Army Airforce Bases, some used for training. During the war British Pilot trained in Mesa (just a few miles from my house) at Falcon Field (a B-17 still flies from there) We deserve a airfield in Panzer Corps!

If a foreign nation invaded, and after several months of warfare had conquered the East Coast and most of the Mid West, would you leave assets like air fields intact for the invader to use in their continuing offensives?

Or would you follow a scorched early policy, hoping to slow them down by any and all means necessary, including sabotaging airstrips and airfields to deny the invaders marshaling areas for future offensives?

Airfields were intentionally left out of Arizona and Nevada to create a large gap. To reach Los Angeles and the West Coast, the Germans have to fly all the way from Salt Lake City or central New Mexico. More fuel and turns spent traveling this distance means less time for bombing and strafing until units have to fly all the way back for refueling!

Why complain about that, when you should be happy that they made the rather odd choice to fight WW II on American home soil? That's the only negative aspect of this game in my opinion, I never understood why they added this.

It's a travesty! What kind of battle for the USA doesn't have a P-80 Shooting Star available? Really now. ;)
