First.
I like the game mechanics. It feels like the old Panzer General, although i am missing the features of Panzerl General 3D.
Panzers can rush weak infantry and so attack multiple times, which makes them more effective.
Well here my campain.
First i played poland decisive and moved to norway.
Then i played belgium and france marginal. So i didnt have the chance to invade England. So far so good.
Now the Russian campain started. I barley managed to take Moscow 1941. I used up all rounds.
But why the heck is marginal victory the same as too lose. Where is my reward that i managed to capture moscow?
At both possible outcomes you go to Stalingrad, then Kursk and finally i took Moscow 1943 decisive. Stalin is in chains, is the comment after the battle.
Now the surprise. Even the russian front is gone, the D-Day comes. Hello?
All units from the "Ostfront" can now join the western units. It that would have happend hypothetically, at my opionion the Allied Forces would have neven been able to invade France. In old Panzer General you could attack England 1943. This is the much more realstic outcome.
Anyway. My tactic was to defend Paris which my infantry and with 10 Flak 40. Around i stationed my Panzer IVJ. So i could easily stop all attacks and save much prestige. Again minor victory and again same as loose. Why? Paris is safe. Now it would be time to strike back.
But instead the Ardennen Offensive beginns.
I had now very much prestige and could buy 6 Comets and had all possible units deployed. And still too much prestige. So much i couldnt spend it all. In short marginal victory, i missed decisive closely.
Now the best. The Ardennen Offensive was sucsessful and i must defend Berlin.
I start with full army and 7000 saved prestige. I managed now to achive decisive victory in 7 rounds this time.

Some more comments.
Elite replacement is at my opion too expensive. I used only normal replacement and it worked well.
Its better to save the prestige and buy new units instead. Quantity is much more effective the quality.
Also if you want to upgrade units you must stay at the same basis. Example: Upgrade Panzer IV to Tiger costs as much as new tiger. So i buy new tiger. Which has no experience but i have now 2 units. Instead of one experienced.
Also bombers are too ineffective against heavy armor. Its impossible to bombard heavy Panzers like Tiger. It has no or very little effect. Even if you or the AI owns the best bombers.
Tigers Panzers are nearly indestructible. Thats not very realistic.
Also attacks from ground to ships have no effect. So bunkers are often complete useless (D-Day).
Last suggestion: Often decisive victory is 7 rounds less time. At my opinion 3 rounds less time would be also enought to achive decisive.
Conclusion:
Great game but very bad campain.
