Suppressed infantry unit on the city hex is blocking with its ZOC.

maybe an eg 80% suppressed unit should be unable to project its full zoc?
Lets do it like this for eg 80% suppressed: zoc still works, but if an own unit controls a point of the zoc, this should now be good enough travel through way.
ie on the picture, the movement should be allowed if the city defenders are more than 80% suppressed, but it should not be allowed if there was an unoccupied bridge instead of the bridging unit
If they have serious problems defending themself, they should not be able to control the space around them...

If we are going to start to get more fancy like that, then we should also have an option to ALWAYS show EZoC hexes.
Since this is not Combat Command or another in-depth wargame I'm not sure the masses want the extra complexity, at least not without doing a major over-haul of the supply system first, which has always been an arguement against many PG clones.

At first I d like to know how far (and especially to which positions) the enemy unit can move the next turn without checking their movement power, their gas level and guessing about the movement costs and my zoc for the adjecent tiles...
Just like I hover my mouse over a unit and get its stats...
Btw, the additional stats you can get must be reactivated every time... thats quite annoying.
Its like the EU3/Victoria habit of first clicking on the political display mode, because the default mode is just not the normally used one...

ZOC means "zone of control". Every ground unit projects ZOC around itself. If your unit makes a move into enemy's zone of control, it cannot continue movement from there and must stop. Same rules apply to naval units, but not to planes - air units do not project ZOC.

Hmm, that reminds me, there was a leader somewhere in some wargame that had a special ability to ignore EZoC. Don't think it was in the PG series but it may have been...
Maybe we could put that up as a possible addition for the future.

I've noticed that if you walk past a hidden naval transport on the coast it exerts ZOC but if you know its there it won't stop you. I wouldn't have thought that ships would'nt stop you walking around on land unless they were actively targeting you.

What you are saying sounds like a bug to me.

It happened in norway when i tried to move my northern group south to catch the nearest town. They got held up by a british transport. I think a hidden troop will also stop a ship that's sailing by. Something for a patch maybe

You didn't know about this 'bug'? I would have told you, but I didn't consider it a bug.

Hi, just read this area and I have a comment. I questioned this exact happening back in Beta, when both ACarrier and Sub is placed in that habor area, near city/airfield up north leading to last objective. Both navel units caused ZOC along the coastal hexes and slows you down terribally. And I said at that time it is not represnetitive of "real" play.
Also, I will ask again. Why does AI have ZOC and not player????
Tally ho,

Not sure what you mean here, ZOC rules are the same for both sides.

From not what I've seen. I have had AI unints move thru & by 1-2 of my units attacking weak unit in real, AND not flanking. I don't know what else to say, I don't detect ZOC for player.
