Reward XP for unit destruction

Hi there,

does s.o. know if the XP gains per unit are displayed somewhere (i.e. when I down a Spitfire, how much XP will my unit receive)?

The "Experience" in the "Unit details" pop-up only reflects the experience the unit has gained so far but is not the units' XP value.
I came to think of it, because in my last turn I wanted my units to gather as much XP as possible by attacking the "high value" targets.

Cheers

I don't think that's shown anywhere - you'd have to note the XP before the attack and then again afterwards.

Is it possible/useful for the XP award formula to be published?

The formula is pretty complex, and you don't know battle outcome upfront anyway, so not sure how useful it would be. Just keep in mind that the stronger your opponent is, the more experience you will earn for scoring kills on him.

By 'stronger' do you mean more experienced, high defense value, both, something else? :) Thanks. I don't bother too much with it but I am curious.

Stronger in broad sense. This is determined based on your attack and defense relative to his, after all modifiers were already applied.

You also get a certain amount of exp for taking casualties, but this is not the best way to earn exp. ;)

Thanks for the swift reply, haven' expected an intricate formula behind the XP gains.

Sometimes less (fixed XP values) is more :-)
