Allies

In my Later CartHaginian list I'd like add another unit of impact foot. ( hannibal 216-203 bc )
I've taken and upgraded the Campanian Hoplites and would like to take another but have taken up all 8 bases available.
Campanians are an Ally for this list...............would I be able to take an unit equiped the same as the one in my list and are there any different rules for allied contingents

Allies have their own little lists.
The Campanians get cavalry, light javelin foot, Hastati,Principes and Triarii on the Roman model. (At this date).
These in the following choice of quality: (Hastati & Principes: Triarii)
Poor:Poor, Poor:Average, Average:Average or Average:Superior
The are protected, and the Hastati/Principes are swordsmen rather than skilled swordsmen

thats quite helpful as I'm converting Hastati for my Campanians in my list anyway........
If I read you right i could take a unit of allied princeps that could be either average or superior, drilled, impact foot and swordsman ?

Almost but only the Triarii can be Superior.

Do the Bruttians and Lucanians have the same troop profiles as the Campanians ?

No, they are mostly Medium Foot, Protected, Average, Light spear, Swordsmen

How good can I make the Campanian Cav and how big can the BG's be ( total number of bases too )
Also is there a % limit for alled troops
