Hi,

maybe i am blind, but i didnt find these question in the forum. So i hopefully didnt ask something wich is already answered elsewhere.

Are there only SE infantery and SE panzers, or even more SE unit types? Because i got infantery or panzers all the time.

Thanks,
Dhaan

Is there a switch in pzequip (for modding) to allow other unit types as well ?

Yes. Essentially, any unit with "bonus" trait can be given as a bonus unit.

In my current game I have 2 SE units a Gebirgjager and a Grenadier. I'm having some trouble telling if these units are statistically different from their non-SE counterparts.

Are SE units special in any way other than name and they don't take up a core slot?

My only SE unit to date (only at Norway!) has +1 hard attack and -1 ground defence (its a PzIII)

I'm sure I remember reading on here at some point that is what to expect, +1 in attack -1 to defence. I'm guessing the attack stat that gets modified is what ever one is the highest....

I got an SE infantry unit in Norway, and an SE PzIII in the Low Countries. So they are obviously not fixed to the scenarios. What triggers them, then?

(And for the life of me I can't remember what SE stands for - anyone? )

SE stands for special elite

I believe the trigger is winning a Decisive victory, at that point you have a chance of being awarded one upto a maximum of 3

I wonder if SE Units ought to start with 1-star of experience, representing their special training.

Would kind of make sense....though I'd be just as happy to have them get +1 attack but no modifier to their defence!

Any campaign scenario result will award an SE unit. After all, sometimes the players who don't get the decisive victory are the ones who need help and more assets to 'catch up' as it were.

As for the stats of the SE unit... some tweaking will be required sooner or later, along with a host of other balance changes.

I still don't understand how you get them? Just a dice role at the start of every campaign?

I got one once, then i messed up and started again (I now save my game at the begining of every mission) Now i am at Sea Lion and still havn't received one.

Guess i'm just unlucky. :(

Sorry for the necro post, but since this thread is listed in the FAQ I decided it was needed. In Afrika Corps I got an SE Tactical Bomber. It seems reasonable that a SE Fighter could be possible as well. Allied Corp is out now and the Grand Campaign for Panzer Corps got updated. In the campaign that comes with Panzer Corps (i.e. not the Grand Campaign DLCs) though, the above quote seems to still apply.

Yes you can scroll in the code window :D

BTW technically the SAS was established mid '41 not at the start 1940 as in the equipment file, however the long range desert group which more or less is the predecessor was established mid '40.
