NEW FEATURE - THEMED ARMIES

At the end of all the published books is a list of Themed Armies, usually Appendix 2. Taking Empire Eternal as an example. When a player issues or accepts a challenge for Empire Eternal Armies only, themed armies from the appendix are now allowed. So if a player issuing or accepting an Empire Eternal only challenge also owned Storm of Arrows then Venetians Outside Italy is also available to them. If the player also owned Swords and Scimitars then Mamluk Egyptian and Medieval Cypriot are also allowed. The structure of both the published book and the DAG system means all armies had to go into one slot. Themed armies allows armies that significantly cross over between more than one book to be allowed. So players have more 'historical' opponents available for DAG games other than just the armies in a single DAG.

Awesome

Thumbs up!

This is nice as there are times when you want to fight other armies other than the ones in the lists but stay within the historical timeline.

I've set up a game with an army from Field of Glory against an army from Field of Glory. Can someone try to pick it up with another themed army from RoR or IFR, please?

I like how the themed army is seamless and doesnt require any xtra steps
When you get to the army slection after accepting a chaallneg, it list all valid armies not only in the expanson you are sing ,but saved themed armies as well, very nice!
