What do the numbers in brackets [] mean next to some attack values? I can't figure this out, and I found nothing in the manual describing them. In fact, the manual is pretty poor at describing a lot of detail stuff like this.

So far, I've only seen bracketed numbers next to attack values. If there are other kinds, please explain those too. Thanks!

Unit cannot attack on voluntarily with an attack value in brackets.
A Stuka with [5] cannot attack a fighter, but it returns fire with that [5] when attacked.

Thank you for the quick response. Why is this not in the manual? It's a very important piece of information, and there is quite a bit not in the manual like this.

It's great that we have the forums to post questions, but popup tips for something like this or a better manual would be very useful.
