PBEM++ Helper - never miss another turn!

If you are playing online, and want to be sure to know when you have turns ready to play, you can use the new, improved Slitherine PBEM++ Helper tool. This tiny tool sits in your system tray and will inform you when you have a turn waiting to be played. You can download it from:

http://www.slitherine.com/files/SysTray ... Helper.zip

It currently supports FoG, BA, WitE, and now Panzer Corps! Simply download the EXE and run it whenever you want to keep track of any turns, no installation necessary. You could even set up your system to run it at startup, if you want to be sure that you never miss a fight! It will sit quietly checking for turns until you close it down.

Any questions or queries, let us know.

Enjoy!

Hmmm - we've never seen it crash. Can you let me know what OS you are on Obsolete - it might be an OS specific thing, although it's been in the wild for a long time.

I shall investigate more here.

Sorry guys. Despite testing this quite a lot, we must have all been logged in already. If you grab the zip again, there is a new version which should solve this problem for you, and get you up and running.

Very sorry again for the hassles.

Cheers

Yes, it's working now. Now you see why I asked to test this out already during the beta :P

I am wondering though, shouldn't we add an option to this to play a chime when a new turn comes in?

On a side-note, is there a way to get Slitherine to not send me an e-mail every time a turn comes in? I'm getting dozens of e-mails I need to delete a day (blush).

I assumed that any noise might be a little annoying - but I can see that it would also reduce the time needed to know a new turn is ready! :)

You can set your PBEM email notifications for each game individually on your My Page (hit the Slitherine link at the top left of the page and a link should be there on the mainpage).

Any way to put this on autostart for my system? (WinXP)

Greetings...

For XP I think it's as simple as dragging it into the Startup folder on your Programs menu.

A remember me tickbox would be nice to save me having to type my ID in all the time. I am incredibly lazy though :)

You shouldn't have to enter it each time - it saves your details. We have seen issues where if you run the app, then move it to start automatically then the permissions get messed up by Windows 7/Vista and it can't get your details.

I would suggest shutting down the helper, then deleting the My Documents\My Games\Slitherine\TrayTool folder, then reboot (to allow the helper to run in the way it usually will) and see if that helps.

So, this is something that you have to do everytime you start a new PBEM game?

Where is the "My Page" located at? Sorry, I am at work so I cannot load up the program

Thx

When we say per game we mean, Panzer Corps, Battle Academy etc,

The setting effects all PBEM++ battles in that game.

I just started turn two of the Gustav Line PBEM, game crashed, restarted and the game has been sent off to my opponent without me making a move..!

Is there anyway to resolve this..?

Any chance of a notification option for the iPad version?
