German partisans in Canada!

I just began a new game with Plaid with the newest patch and in February 1940 as German partisan appeared in Canada! It seems that some of the hexes in Canada are German ones and Allied controlled. This is of course a bug.

Any means for us to remove the partisan? Will the US now join the war? Should we replay the last turn?

It seems that Hex 6/17 in Canada is a German hex for some reason. So it spawns german partisans.

Despite the partisan US did not declare war and we cna continue our game.

This happened to me quite a while back. Thought it had been fixed.

U.S. declares war because Germany has 'invaded' Canada. Or...hmm...maybe that happened when I moved the partisan. Try it and see what happens.

Maybe the hex control crept back in with the changes to the map?

I found the hex and fixed it. Paul and Ronnie will send out new scenario files soon.

This is caused by a weakness in the editor. It sometimes does something I don't want. E. g. I can lose unit names, city names or even change a hex I didn't want to. It takes too long to figure out where this bug is so I just hope that each time I use the editor something bad doesn't happen. I think it has something to do with which hex has focus and which editor mode the game is in. Germany is the default country so if I pan the map it can remember a hex focus and then think the owner should be altered if the mode was in owner.

I also noticed that names changed for units won't register unless I change focus to another unit before I save. If I load several scenarios and the unit is in the same location in both then I can't alter the name. I have to quit the editor and restart with the other scenario in order to change the name.

So I'm fighting bugs in the editor when making changes. So proofreading is needed every time we make map changes.
