What units would you like to see...

Added in expansions?
Please create a small list and share it with us!
Please do not criticize other people's lists or choices, try to keep this thread on track and on topic.
Redundant listings of units is perfectly acceptable (more than one person requesting the same unit)
Also consider the first expansion/DLC is more than likely going to be very heavily focused on North Africa, so units from that theater/period are especially welcome as suggestions.
My short list:
KV 85
M24 Chaffee
Flamethrower tanks (PZII, PZIII, Crocodille, OT34, KV-8s)
Panzer-35T
1943 variants for Russian infantry
More unique looking infantry icons (guards and conscripts and regulars are all identical, same as US Infantry and US Rangers)
A few German combat half tracks (MG, Anti-tank, mortar, flamethrower)
Fokker DXXI early war fighter
British Gurkhas Infantry
Sunderland flying boat
FW-200 Condor
P-39
Gotha-229
Expanded Russian units wishlist (Will probably have to wait for 'Allied Corps' lol)
T-28, T-35, T-40, T-50, BA 6, BA 20, IS-3, super heavy artillery and mortars, LA-9 fighter, Tupolev bomber.
SMG Infantry, 100mm BS-3 ATG, 85mm ZP-39 ATG, I-15 fighter, ZiS-30 SP ATG, T-44.
ZP-39 37mm AA, ZP-40 25mm AA, Zis 42 w/37mm AA Guns.

Brummbar
Churchill AVRE

"Static" or "garrison" troops\divisions\units - for rear area use. (Axis)
Also, for the North Africa campaigns, small "raider" type units (Axis & Allied) with some type of special movement & cammo\hiding abilities.

Horse-drawn artillery (and other) transport. For a mechanised force Germany (and others such as Russia) still relied on horse power (literally) a lot. Opels are too fast and no transport too slow - horse-drawn is more 'historical'.

V1 flying bomb (fixed locations)
V2 flying rocket(moveable)
Me think's the best way not to unbalaced the game for these units would be just give them entrenchment damage only?

Partisan units, which could have unique ability to interdict road/rail lines.
Mine-laying units (and minesweeping units as well) ... this would be a critical factor in the NA theater.
The British "funny" tanks used at D-Day.

LC-33 (Cv-33) with machine gun, variant with larger gun.
Those units very very quick. 30mph and come out in the middle of nowhere blasting all your comrades to death.
Those units were devasting in the Pacific. Every Marine hated them.

Your talking about features non-existent.
For mines I picture paying prestige to lay a mine (50?). Mine would do variable damage between 1 to 2 points.
Affects all players, even the player that laid the mine will suffer damages. Only the player laying the mine has visibility.
Still the issue of feasibility and game play for mines.
Just use your conscript as cannon fodder.

Some interesting ideas in here, keep them coming!
And since someone mentioned it before, I'll mention them again.
Volksturm.

Finland - Finnish infantry, and tanks (on loan from Germany), plus captured T-26 and assorted other Soviet tanks (OK, whole regiments of tanks weren't captured, of course, but battles in PC do not have a specific scale).
DD Shermans - used by the Canadians on D-Day.
Soviet Marines in black.
British SAS (created in 1942 in Africa).

You mean, features currently not available in the first game release.
I am thinking ahead to what COULD be added to the game in future release.
I.E. Minelaying units. Such a unit could spend a single turn and thus convert the hex into a minefield. Any unit that enters afterward suffers a random damage result. (Unless it is a mine-clearing unit, which would "remove" the minefield and, hence, the penalty.)
Or partisans could make it more difficult for enemy units to use transport routes or decrease resupply values of nearby enemy units. I'm not just talking "cannon fodder" here.
Let's see what the fine folks at Lordz/Slitherine can come up with in the future.

I would like to see:
-
Brandenburger (German Commando Unit / Paratroopers / recruited from Germans who lived in foreign countries and speaking foreign languages)
-
ANZACS (the british colonial troops from New Zealand and Australia)
- For late War only recruitable in the German Scenarios ...
Volkssturm and
Werwolf Units
-
Panzerwerfer 43
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Waf ... werfer.htm
-
for the late war US Scenarios and maybe for Scenarios AFTER Germany:
Panther F (with Schmalturm) and
E-50 /
E -75 /
E-100,
Scout Tank Leopard VK1602
- modern U-Boat Types:
Type XXI and
XXIII at the end of the war they were in use ...
From the already referred units:
-
Partisans
- a wide range of Sd.Kfz's 250 and 251
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sd.Kfz._250
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sd.Kfz._251
especially the variants with flamethrowers, mortars, or anti-tank guns are interesting

- ANZACS (the british colonial troops from New Zealand and Australia)
Australia had been ain independent state since 1901 - no colonies after that. I know what you mean, but we have a thing about the 'colonial' tag.

From the game point of view, though, they are already included. Did you have any specific ANZAC units in mind?

Everything mentioned sounds great, some units I previously mentioned in earlier posts:
Garrison units
Horse drawn transport
Commando/Brandenburger units that could sneak around, and maybe assassinate leaders like in Panzer Tactics.
Combat halftracks please!
Painted up, and camouflaged units
Partisans damaging stuff is cool idea.
I would also like the bridge graphic when the bridging unit stops on a river.
I would also like the ability for an infantry unit to spend a turn and prestige (to keep them from covering map), to dig entrenchments (foxholes). They could disappear when the units moves out.
Sandstorms could be added to the "weather model" which would be similar to the rain effect on planes and visibility.
