I look forward to the game to be released,
in order to go into my mod project ...
I'm always a fan of pg, and I love the period of the Cold War.
I have in mind to create a mod for panzer corps with new units, new terrain, new scenarios, new campaigns ....
I have already done most of the German units and some US units,
if the programming team allows me to do it : soon ....some screenshots .... :)

This is great news! The cold war period is often overlooked, maybe because there are no historical scenarios? Anyway, I have dreamed of attacking a column of tanks with SU25 Frogfoots, and Hind choppers since original PG came out. Peoples General changed the air rules, and made China the bad guys, we need some US vs Russia action.

Thank you so much for starting this project so soon.

Good Idea , bur the units are not rendered in good quality and are not 3d, the shadows looks also bad for me. BTW -all your units have a bad quality and are not in the same nice style like the original unit park. For me - no potential, but with more quality a good entry for an modern war addon.

Do you known my JTCS meets PG2 WWIII mod ?

Even though, it might end looking nice over the hex.

Code: Select all

I think , we need the same quality - like old PC design - the same size , shadows etc !

OK - but thats what I call an M113 for an future modern war addon:

Almost all units are 3D models,
with the exception of one or two models ,
at the moment it's a work in progress, the shadows are indeed not good,
I learn the 3D component of photoshop, it is simply an amateur work,
Yes, I know your work on "JTCS" a shame that you've never finished it...

Hi Nick
Learn more about 3dMax, Poser, Bryce or Vue - the future of PC is, to animate all units.
Take a look at wyrmshadows modern war units at CIV3, he's not perfect - but he produce hunderts of animated modern war units.

Your models looks good, but its not really 3d.

Hblack,
thank you for your comments,
here's a screenshot of my 3D rendering tests with the shadows,
this time in good size, the previous screenshots were just a screenshot
of my thumbnails in windows.
