SW POA error

Hi,
I had a steady MF offensive spear in the open in melee against a steady MF swordsman in a marsh and the defender received a +1 POA for being a swordsman. I thought the spear negated the swordsman bonus? This in my mind is a major issue.
I have a screenshot and but don't know how to paste it into this message.
Regards Nik

The spears are not considered steady because they would have been disordered by being in melee with the sword bg in the swamp
So they lost a POA for not beingin open terrian, AND the swords gain a poa.
from the manuel:
pike/spear pike battlegroup above 75% of its initial strength +1 Unless fragmented and
both sides are in open terrain
swordsmen Swordsmen +1 Against any except elephants, swordsmen, swordsmen+ or
steady pikemen, offensive or defensive spearmen

Thanks Mouser. A misunderstanding on my part. Thought that steady referred to morale level i.e. disrupted or fragmented or steady, and did not realise that it was also affected by order. This is good news. I have been playing under the assumption that MF spears were the kings of bad terrain (even though I did not think that was logical/correct). The MF IF armies have now gone up in my rankings as have english longbows, who must be near impossible to attack when on a steep hill.

Longbowmen on steep hills are kings of the battlefield, that is for sure!
