Urban Warfare with the AI

I played the Soviets, with the computer playing the USA and UK.
What is Urban Warfare?
Scenario description:
WWIII begins! Germany is defeated but the Western Allies and Soviet Union fight on through the wreckage of a German city.
After a 33 turn slugging match with the Artificial Intelligence, this is the end result:
How the strategic map looks. Take special note of the 'pockets' of resistance. After 33 turns, it's rather hard to figure out where the 'front line' is.
And casualty lists(units destroyed). Mother Russia thanks her conscripts for their valiant sacrifices that paved the way for ultimate victory!

Wow, 173 Soviet infantry units destroyed in a single game?! That's roughly 5 infantry units lost PER TURN. Talk about human wave tactics...

As a note, this was a special AI version of Urban Warfare.
The Western Allies have been set to 'attacker' side, they have received many additional pre-placed units, and of course, I was playing on Manstein.

I've just played for Soviets but AI does not play for Allies. Am I doing something wrong or there is no AI for Allies yet?

Well the map was designed for multiplayer not for the AI, that is why you are experiencing issues with it.
If you want to make it AI friendly, there are several tweaks you must apply to the map through the editor.
Open the map.
Set West Allies (Britain and USA) to 'attacker' in the scenario parameters section.
Pre-place 20-40 (yes 40) American and British infantry units along the Western border of the map.
To go file save as and
Save your map as UrbanWarfareAI
Take your urbanwarfareAI.pzscn map, place it into
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Scenario
And then play that map as the Soviet side. That will function better.
To reiterate:
Yes the DLC campaign scenarios do support this mode of play. Just remember they have not been optimized for it though.

Specifically:
1. Copy all of the scenario files (Dunkirk.pzcn for example) from wherever you installed the DLCs.
Paste them to (This is Windows XP only):
2. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Scenario
3. Start a new game, select 'scenario' and go down to 'custom' The custom list should have all the scenarios you copy pasted.

Ah. That explains everything.
In fact I see you used both methods I was discussing out in the general forum earlier today, both switching attackers and seeding the flags with AI units!
(Note to readers: if you simply play as UK/US you don't have to do anything. Well, except play at a harder difficulty setting than your regular comfort zone, of course! The Reds will come, believe me...)

Played several times for soviets on this map (online) and i bet: allies can't beat them. Is there any ally guru of this map?

Since I'm having difficulties even fending off the simpleton AI, I suspect you're right. Perhaps the Americans should join the Brits in the lower section (but not without sending fast units to collect vital prestige of course); at least there you should be able to limit the avenues of attack...
I shudder at the thought of playing the scenario as it is provided in 1.0 on the allied side against a competent Soviet commander...
Loads of close terrain for those pesky conscripts to sit in, no issues of having to field your crappy planes against the overwhelmingly deadly Western Allied air fleets... *brrr*

The Russians have their weaknesses. Frailty of the conscripts is a serious issue as is the fact all of their heavy equipment only has 4 ammo (is-2, su-100, su-152, isu-122). If I have some time soon, I might be up for a game of UW as the Western Allies.

I've won it once in MP as allies and am currently in another game where my opponent is kicking my ass while he/she is playing the allies, so yeah, it's definitely possible.
