Boxed versions of Panzer Corps!

Boxed versions will be available to order from launch!

For Panzer Corps we have a whole new boxed system coming in to place. This is part of our continual process of upgrading our services to you guys. Prviously when you bought you had the option to buy a box or a digital download but the two were completely separate. All boxes used to get shipped from our UK HQ, but now we are using Print on demand facilities in the US and Germany which give us better coverage. In addition all packages will be sent via a parcel service to ensure we can track them and guarantee delivery, rather than the mail service we previously used.

Now for the first time all boxed copies come with an instant free digital download as well. It uses the same serial numbers as the boxed version so it is only one copy of the game but you can buy the boxed version and still be playing straight away. The best of both worlds. Currently this option is only available on Panzer Corps but we will be rolling it across the line up in the coming months.

Boxed versions will be shipping out as soon as the manuals arrive. The manuals are currently in print and we expect to receive them around the 18th July so there will be about a 1 week delay after release before these are shipped. However hopefully this will not be an issue because you'll already have the download version! Please bear this delay in mind when ordering.

We hope you enjoy this new and improved service!

How much will the box version cost?

Boxes cost an additional $10, as thats the cost to us of producing them (We have to print on demand to ensure the serials issued in your download match your boxed copy).

Will there be a physical manual in the boxed version? I like physical manuals. :)

Just got my order for a boxed version... i noticed something very nice... the boxed version has the same price as the digital version because the boxed version dosent add the VAT :) I guess the boxed version is inside EU and the digital is US then the extra VAT?

We've been asking Plimus about the VAT as we don't understand why it is not being charged. They have assured us its all correct but we have asked them to look again.

As far as I know it's not correct. You don't have to pay the VAT in the source country, but in that case you'll have to pay it in the destination country. Unless if it comes from English channel islands and any other duty-free places in Europe or if it comes outside Europe, in that case you'll have to pay VAT in the destination and other duty taxes (in some countries you'll have to pay always but others only if the package value is over a x amount).
If the European destination country belongs to EFTA, I highly doubt that you'll end up paying any vat. In that case the source won't emit a VAT value.

So if you live in Europe (EC) and the package is sold from Europe (EC) you'll have to pay VAT somewhere.

VPaulus is correct, by my experience. I don't notice much when ordering cheap things (DVDs and such), but I get a full customs declaration on the more expensive things I buy. When I buy from the EU, the EU VAT is subtracted from the sum, and customs slap on the Norwegian VAT instead.

Just a quick update on boxes.

The manuals are arriving today in the US so we hope to start shipping boxes out tomorrow.

The manuals are arriving in Germany tomorrow so we expect them to start shipping out the following day.

Sorry for this extra days delay - it just took slightly longer than expected to ship the manuals over.
