Server and MP fail-over question

The end of the beta and the scrapping of the MP games that were in progress has raised a question for me; what would happen if the server (servers?) actually had problems when the game is released? Will all MP games be offline? Is there a server fail-over plan? Basically, what measures are in place to deal with the (unlikely, hopefully) event of a game server failure? This time it was the beta ending and no-one can complain but the real thing would be a much different situation. With a server-based approach there is no easy go-back-to-the-last-move-that-worked approach for players.

Servers are backed up daily. It depends upon when you made your last move.

You could loose 0 turns, 1 turn or several depending upon how many you made between the last back up and crash.

That would be a bummer for our recent games, Razz; I think we did 7-8 (more?) turns in a day once.

Yes, this is where the game really shines!

Making 8 moves or more in a day...
