Could the Flak 88 ATG be brought back?

Ie the exact same unit as the current Flak 88 AD gun but "counting as" AT for the purposes of campaign core upgrades. I would have no objection to paying more for it reflecting the the difficulty of wrestling them away from the Luftwaffe and their primary mission.

It was just somewhat dissapointing to have a 4 star Flak 88 and discover it couldn't be upgraded to a JadgPanther.

Not that it's a big issue - I just needed a subject to make the 1000th Topic in the PzC forums.

Looking forward to launch!

Looks like you're a bit short!

For some reason the 8.8cm Pak 36 which is available from 1939 has a 'nopurchase' trait. The Pak 43/41 is available to purchase from Nov 43. Both are in the AT unit type, so I would assume either could be upgraded to a JP. Neither has the 'noupgrade' trait. The problem, I guess, is that by Nov 43 you're not looking to buy an 88 to upgrade to a JP in 44.

@milange: I think the OP was about topics, not posts.

Don't forget, the 88mm/L56 was a FlaK 36. The later AT 88mm was a L71 (calibre).

I think this could be a very nice addition to the unit pool. Early ATG units aren't very good and I tend to pack 1-2 88's in my Core until I can build up my Fighter Wing, by 43-44 they're mostly redundant and I deploy them only on maps I know I will need defensive AA fire (ie, if I'm going for the historic campaign route).
