Question on the AI

How well does the AI do in the scenarios?

My biggest let down on the original panzer general was the bad AI. It had no concept of attack (strangely almost all the scenarios had you as the attacker!) and pitiful defence.

Does the AI launch significant attacks / counter attacks or is it mainly concerned with ringing its cities with defenders; each city effectively on its own unsuported?

I'm not expecting brilliant AI; but I hope it isnt going to be a case the AI sits back as a passive defender ring fencing it cities all the time.

Multi- player is where the game is at....

You can adjust the AI settings in the editor plus I am sure more feature improvements will be added over time..

I completely disagree - our polls show the vast majority of beta testers only play or prefer to play single player - and love it. There players hwo love multiplayer prefer to only do that but they are a minority. Multiplayer is also excellent!

This game is superb in single player. When the beta NDA's are lifted you'll hear more of that :)

I totally agree that single player is where it is at. I am sure multiplayer is great also, but the vast majority of players both vetern and new to the PG/PC genre will want to play it as single player before jumping to multiplayer if that is were they want to end up. Personally I am looking forward to this game so much on just the fact that all the campaign/senerios will be able to be played in single player. (just like Panzer General, only better and updated). Awesome, Awesome Game. Can not say enough about this game. Cheers to all the developers.

The fact that you can play single player is what brought me to Panzer General in the first place. Lost my partner in playing the board game versions (and time to dedicate to it). Single player on a PC is awesome – you can let it sit without your cat jumping on the game board and messing it all up.
