Problem with G

I place all my roads as far as i know correctly then use G but only road in citys show up any ideas?

hit the space bar, then place roads, then click generate, then click space bar

Make sure you are placing roads as Terrain features, rather than as Tiles. As Razz1 says, use the basic schema (spacebar) to see the features being added. Use tiles to polish the final map product.
