Unimaginative AI

I just tried my Australia scenario to make sure a Decisive Victory could be achieved by both siades against the AI - it can. However, in the game where the AI was the Germans the degree of 'creativity' on the AI's part was poor. The terrain is unsuitable, in the main, to tanks; with all the prestige it got the AI bought 8 x PzIIIs and the same, or more 8 rad recons - nothing else! No artillery and no infantry, apart from what it had as auxiliaries at the beginning of the scenario. What gives?

But lastly, there is no trigger to modify the behavior of units, yet. You cannot place a unit, and have it's brain changed mid game. Player take Victory Hex A. Units X Y Z switch from hold position to attack mode. This does simply not exist yet.
This limitation extends to new purchases.
If you want to make your map AI friendly, you must manually place infantry and artillery for offensive AI, or manually place armor for defensive AI. But that's not unheard of in the gaming community if you think about it, a 'normal' version of a map, and the AI equivalent.

I'm not really worried. In this case the scenario is only intended for MP anyway. I was just a little surprised. Even though, I have seen MP opponents who do a similar thing (even I do, at times)!
