Flammpanzer (I was bored)

I made this unit, by borrowing and editing some engineer and Panzer IIIL assets.
It has all necessary attributes configured to be a normal unit, including it's own attack animation and sound.

As you can see from the video, the tank is decent at close quarter combat against other tanks but does absolutely terrible against other tanks in open terrain.
3 - 4 prediction against a T34-85 on a city hex, 5 - 0 against a t34-85 on open terrain (lol 2 initiative).
It is successful against infantry in both close quarter combat and open terrain combat.
It is not immune to rugged defense.

I like it. Will this unit end up in the actual game? or can it be added myself when game is purchased?

If for some reason it's not included as an official unit, of course I'll share it for modders.

Sweet idea, didn't even know that such things were in service. I just checked http://www.achtungpanzer.com and it says that there was also a 38(t) Hetzer (tank destroyer) equiped with a famethrower in service. Maybe you could add this tank too ;)

I strongly recommend to add as much vehicles to the game just for historical correctness ;) I also wondered why there are no combined armed services. Like mechanised infantery or a pioneer tank corps like you can create them in HOI.

More unlockable achievements that could only be used in a single scenario or custom game like prototype weapons.
Also if theres a campagain that leads to the usa.Or a single scenarios based on that then where are the V1 and v2 weapons?

For the v1 started from 1942-1945 with over 8000 sorties

For the v2 started roughly from 1944-1945 with over 9500 produced

Making it work in game without out a balance problem would be hard i guess but still they where a big part of the war
Maybe in a patch or an expansion later?

Pretty slick! The ability to mod and tinker with things like this is what makes gaming such a joy for some of us. Panzer Corps is a wonderful game for those who enjoy getting under the hood a little.

Cool Unit!!!! I vote for implement it in the final game, maybe with a patch witch include some new units!!! Very very cool unit ...

Kerensky whats about a Urban Warfare Map with German Units? :-)

It was quite simple to do, teaching myself how to do it took more time than actually making the unit.

Bottom line you have 6 items you need to configure.

1. Need an attack sound file (or reference an existing one)
2. Need an attack animation PNG of the exact same name as #1 (or reference an existing one)
3. Need a BIG UNIT PNG
4. Need a PNG of the unit facing left and side, normal and small.
5. Need to create a line in equipment.pzeqp.
6. Need to create an entry in efx.pzdat.

All of this is a lot easier said than done, especially learning how to properly configure the line in efx.pzdat, but those are the only 6 items you need to create units.



UW with German units, UW with mid or early war units, and HV with mid war units are all great ideas, but there's no way to have these maps as 'official' without having an incredibly redundant list of maps. Best bet is to make your own custom version at this point.
