Overlord (Normandy) Scale

Playing the Overlord scenario the scale of the Normandy map feels not good to me. There was so much there. On the map you can not even find a big city like Bayeux. The city of Caen is just 1 hex, unrealistic very easy to capture for the Allies the first turn (It took more than 1 mounth in 1944).
I think it will be beter to make a bigger map of Normandy for the Overlord scenario. I realize it's to late for that. Maybe it's an idea to bring in some more historical names to give it a better feeling. Cities like Bayeux (on 14,19), St.Mere-Eglise (8,16), Arromanches (15,17) and strongpoint names like Pointe du Hoc or Longues sur Mer Battery. This are the places were "it happend" but you can not find them on the map now.
