Hi,

I received my serial number and put it in, but the game hangs on the screen with Fullscreen, Enable sound, no shadows.

The game is unresponsive and no sound. If I click anywhere nothing happens. Also the menu functions are not there where you can hide, quit, and About the application.

I can quit the game from the dock or 'Force quit'

Hi,

I also noticed that the game creates a folder here ~/Libaray/Application Support/My Games/BBCBA folder

Is this correct? No menu buttons function.

The game doesn't use the standard menu for anything - although I can see that some of the standard shortcuts might be useful.

The Application Support folder is where all the options etc, user campaigns, and so on are stored. Afaik it is the equivalent of My Documents\My Games on the Mac.

When on the launcher screen, with the Fullscreen options etc, do you see the standard launcher details appear? It should download them from the internet, but it should be asynchronous.

Can you let me know your system specs please, OS, machine, etc. Obviously I can get past the launcher screen on my machine ;).

Cheers

Hi Pip,

My system is a MacbookPro 2.4 Intel Core i5 (4cores)

4GB Ram

Mac OS 10.6.8

My question is the path I gave earlier is what I have ~/Library/Application Support/My Games/BBCBA folder not ~/Library/Application Support/BBCBA folder .

All I have is black blank screen with Ok and Cancel. The Register button appears momentarily, but then disappears. None of the buttons or selections work. I am playing wirelessly behind my airbase wireless station.

Where can I get manual?

That's the path I would expect - I imagine you're thinking the My Games bit could cause confusion - I will check if I can remove it.

The online manual is at:

I'm running a very similar system, so not sure what issues could be stopping you. But will look into it.

Cheers

After you read the manual there is also a sticky in the main forum for Manual Additions that give some more details. The game is designed to allow you to play and learn through popups in the game, then read the brief manual later.

I am running BA mac beta with the newest Macbook Pro (early 2011) - 4 GB, I7 quad core, 1 GB dedicated ATI card. I am used to playing BA on Bootcamp Win7 partition.

Not much time with guests over holiday weekend but did download and simply start up, play tutorials, start playing several desert missions. All is working fine on this quick taste - seems like my MBP is running a lot cooler than when I run BA on Win7. Less heat, less power, more battery!

More after weekend...

Thanks for beta, Pip. Let me know if you need any special areas to focus on or just play alot.

Simply having feedback that it runs is useful! If you spot any issues, then post away so we can make sure that I haven't missed anything in my Mac ignorance!

Continuing to play missions within campaigns seeing no bugs. Also downloaded user scenario and played to ensure all is ok there with Mac version - works and plays fine.

Hi,
So where do I get the manual? Is it in the game install? Since I have a beta version?

Pip gave link in reply to your request before - you must have missed it! Pip is very good on monitoring forums and repying:

The online manual is at:

I checked link and it works fine.

Hope that helps, my friend and fellow Mac user.
