After Ardennes Single Player Allied Victory

After completing the Ardennes scenario with and Allied Victory, when proceed button is selected, I'm taken back to main menu. Is that normal?

Yes, where else would it go? As you said, it was just a single play scenario.
EDIT: I just tested the 1943 West campaign, I 'lost' Ardennes with the endscn 2 cheat, and it sent me to Berlin.
Back to Screen Where you choose Scenario

Thought it might go back to the screen to choose another scenario. My bad!

No problem, we default to the main screen to let the player decide what to play next, we don't want you to purely play single scenarios!
Ardennes Multiplayer

Have played the Ardennes multiplayer and no problems were encountered
