I shouldn't have to remember to do this. Again, playing '39 and did well on first scenario. Then got my behind kicked in 2nd scenario because of troop surrenders. Thought I would try a different approach. Guess what, forgot to save and now I have to start over from the beginning. What's up with this?

Call it a checkpoint or whatever, but this is normal in long running games guys. Come on'.....

I think what you're looking for is a Restart Mission option. That way, if things go really badly and you forgot to save, you could restart the mission without having to restart a new campaign. I usually make a save right before I start a new scenario just in case I need to go back and try a different deployment scheme. That way, I also have the ability to restart the mission if something goes terribly wrong later. A Restart Mission option in the System Menu would be nice, though, just in case we forget to save the start of a scenario.
