Late Tercio Sizes

Just a curiosity question. The rule book implies there are all kinds of base sizes for late tercios, even the detailed combat example shows and illustrates a "spanish tercio", presumably a late one based on the formation, ( and with 14 bases) ( actually not presume, it says late tercio)
However looking thu T and T and WoR I could only find 9 base late tercios, the only single 12 base one being the later regiments of pike, bow and caliver in the Elizabethan list......
Are there 12 or 14 base LT's in any of the other books?

Steve (if that is you) I don't know the answer to your question, but if you are getting interested in FOG-R Table top and are interested in playing, let me know. I think that we will be playing it more going forward.

You can create different tercio seizes by commanding out shot from one or more of them creating different formations (such as a 12 element Late Terio).
If you have 2 9 element late tercios and command out 6 musket elemtns from the two of them, you then recombine the remaining elements into a single tercio of 6 shot and 6 pike

Ah I see, so in order to create that 14 base later tercio that is in the rules example, one would need:
an army of at least 6 BG's of pike and shot units(since only 50% of them can command out)
1 would have to be an Early tercios 4 Pike/ 6 shot , and two others normal 2/4's (the other 3 bg's dont matter)
you could command out all 8 shot from the 6 er's and jamm the three together
so you would end up with
a BG of 8 bases shot only
a GBG of late tercio(Early tercio residuals morph into late per the rules ) with 8 bases pike and 6 of shot ( yay , 14)
I belive this is legal as the 3 break point from the 3 morphed units are still three as the morphed late tercio is a Grand BG
Hmm, begs the question, are there any lists that have Early tercios AND 6 base p/s Bg's ?
I guess there are other mathmatical possibilities to build this 14 base LT but i guess that is the gist of it?
Thanks Ethan!
